I initially had contacted a safari planner a friend recommended to me, but they pushed a limited menu of cookie cutter safaris while I was interested in carrying out my own very specific plans. So, I then spoke with Jaco Snyman from Snyman Safaris, and he clearly showed me he would put together the plan I wanted and what a terrific plan it was. My wife and I had the best possible African adventure we could possibly imagine. Jaco took care of every detail with value in mind for our 20-day visit to Cape Town, Sabi-Sand, Victoria Falls and Okavango. It was perfect!

Through emails, texts, and Zoom calls he answered every question and calmed each anxiety. From the time we met our first gracious driver in Johannesburg until the moment we were delivered for our return flight, every detail was seamlessly coordinated. Our lovely accommodations at each location, our in-country flights, our fabulous guides, the helicopter flight over the Okavango Delta, our border crossing into Zimbabwe for our adventure in Victoria Falls…. there was not a moment of anxiety. On our bush drives and river cruises we saw more animals in their natural habitat -up close! - than we ever imagined.

I had never been to Mana Pools before. When I looked at the options I realised I would have to ask an expert if I wanted to get the best value of the few days we had available. He really listened to what we wanted to see and how we wanted to spend our time and was very quick to respond to any and all questions. We have had the most amazing experience with Snyman Safaris in Kruger National Park. A lifetime of wonderful memories have been created in the five days we spent there with Jaco who showed us some awesome animals. His knowledge of the animal behaviour put us in the right place at the right time to view some fascinating sights. Returned last week from a wildlife safari to South Luangwa In Zambia. It was a fabulous trip arranged by Snyman Safaris. Working by email, Jaco Snyman had 4 suggested options. I saw animals from my chalet at the Lodge and Three Rivers Bush Camp. Animal sightings included 4 different leopards, 3 prides of lions, 2 packs of wild dogs, African buffalo, many elephants of assorted sizes (even one lying down asleep), hippos, monkeys, baboons, antelope, warthogs. This was my 6th trip to Africa. Had not been there in 5 years. I traveled by myself. Jaco Snyman answered questions and emails promptly. He checked in by email during the trip. In the future I hope to do another trip with Snyman Safaris.

Jaco helped us out with our 4-day Kruger park safari and arranged a combination of walking safari, some driving safaris and a camp out night. All went smoothly and left us with so many impressions of what the wildlife in South Africa can be like. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, a herd of buffalo, even a rhino and a leopard and so many more. 3 of the big 5 on walking safari. What an experience, both thrilling and a bit frightening but we felt we were in very good hands and our safety never a big issue.

My husband and I discovered Snyman Safaris through an acquaintance. After speaking to a few well-known companies and getting vague answers to very expensive tours, we were delighted that Jaco, or “Afrika Jack” suggested a zoom call. Immediately, all our fears were allayed and we put ourselves into Jaco’s very capable hands. His meticulous planning, constant communication with us and understanding of Africa, as well as our needs was incredible.

I cannot say enough about Jaco and Snyman Safaris. I wanted to use an African owned company for our trip to Namibia and Jaco was perfect for us. He met with us on Zoom to answer our questions and help us plan the perfect trip for our family. He was quick to reply by text or email and checked in with us several times during our trip to make sure everything was going well. The lodges we visited were beautiful and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We are already planning another trip with Snyman Safaris.
